3. How information is used
PosBharat uses this information to:
- Sign users in
- Keep business accounts separate
- Run POS billing and prepare invoices
- Keep stock and sales history
- Manage customers and staff
- Check whether a subscription is active
- Answer support requests
- Protect the service
- Meet legal duties that apply to the service
4. Android device permissions
The app asks only for permissions tied to a feature. The exact prompt depends on the Android version and on the feature being used.
- Bluetooth. Used to find, connect to, and print on a compatible Bluetooth thermal printer. Bluetooth scanning is marked never for location. The app does not request location permission for printer discovery.
- Camera. Used for barcode scanning and other camera features the app actually offers. The camera is not required merely to install the app.
- Photos and files. Used when a person chooses a logo, product image, or another file to upload, download, export, or share. On newer Android versions this uses photo access. On older versions it can use file access.
- Internet. Used to sign in and sync with Firebase.
These permissions are not used for advertising.
5. Firebase and other services
PosBharat uses Google Firebase for the signed-in business:
- Firebase Authentication, for email sign-in and the user ID
- Firebase Realtime Database, for business records such as products, invoices, customers, and settings
- Firebase Storage, for logos and product images the business uploads
The Android app also includes Firebase Cloud Functions so a signed-in user can submit an account-deletion request from Settings. This public website does not call that service. Deletion from this website is requested by email, as described below.
If a home-screen banner is a YouTube video rather than an uploaded image, the app plays that video through YouTube. YouTube then receives the information needed to play it. The app does not use that player to collect an advertising ID.
PosBharat can show business records to the signed-in owner and to staff that owner has allowed. PosBharat can also disclose information to a service provider who is processing it for PosBharat, or to an authority when the law requires it.
The Play data-safety answers do not treat business records as sold or shared for advertising.
6. Information security
PosBharat uses Firebase sign-in and access rules intended to keep one business from reading another business. No internet service can promise perfect security. Users should keep passwords private and should remove staff access when a person should no longer see the business.
7. Storage and retention
Account and business information is kept while it is needed to provide PosBharat, run the account, meet a legal duty, or deal with a real dispute.
After a verified deletion, eligible personal information is deleted. Some invoices, tax records, and accounting records can be kept when the law, a dispute, or a security need requires it. This policy does not state a fixed number of years for those records. How long they stay depends on the record and the rule that applies to it. An invoice that is kept can still show the buyer name and tax details that were printed on it.
8. Account deletion
A user can ask PosBharat to delete an account and the eligible personal information linked to it. The app does not have to be installed again to make that request.
- Android. Open PosBharat, sign in, open Settings, and choose Delete account. That screen is meant to send a request for the signed-in account. It does not itself erase the business. If the request cannot be sent, use the website or email below.
- Website. https://posbharat.com/account-deletion
- Email. team@posbharat.com
PosBharat can ask for proof that the requester owns the account or is allowed to close the business. Deleting a staff login is not the same as closing the whole business. Eligible information is what deletion removes. Switching an account off is not treated as deletion.
This website does not run an automated deletion process. The email starts a request. A person at PosBharat reviews it before eligible information is deleted. This page does not promise a fixed number of days, because that review is manual.
9. Customer and employee information
A business can type customer and employee details into PosBharat for billing and day-to-day work. The business is responsible for having a lawful reason to collect and use those details. PosBharat processes them to provide the software.
10. Children’s privacy
PosBharat is for business use. It is not made for children. If PosBharat learns that it is holding a child’s personal information without the authority the law requires, it will take the corrective step that fits that case.
11. User rights
Where the law gives the right, a person can ask to see the personal information PosBharat holds about them, ask for a correction, or ask for eligible information to be deleted. Send the request to team@posbharat.com.
12. International processing
Google Firebase stores and processes information in the locations used by that service. Those locations can be outside India. PosBharat will follow the cross-border rules that apply to this processing.
13. Changes to this policy
PosBharat can update this policy when the app, the data it handles, its service providers, or the law changes. The current version is this page.
